Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of young children through engaging activities and effective communication with both children and their families.

Responsibilities



Provide high-quality care and education for children in the nursery setting. Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social, emotional, and cognitive growth. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and well-being. Maintain a safe, clean, and organised environment that meets health and safety standards. Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the nursery. Manage daily routines, including meal times, playtime, and rest periods. Observe and assess children's development, keeping accurate records to monitor progress. Lead by example, demonstrating strong leadership skills within the team.

Skills



Proven experience in childcare or early childhood education is essential. Strong leadership skills to guide and inspire both children and colleagues. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail. A genuine drive to support children's learning and development through engaging activities. Knowledge of nursery practices and early years frameworks is highly desirable. Patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude towards children are crucial for success in this role. We are prepared to consider those working towards an HNC/SVQ in childhood practice or Early learning and childcare qualifications.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 25,000.00-27,500.00 per year

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
