We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised, and reliable Temporary Receptionist/Admin to join our busy children's nursery for an 8-week period, starting 22nd January 2026.
The working hours will be Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day, between the hours of 8am and 6pm.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be proficient in various computer applications, and demonstrate excellent organisational abilities to ensure the smooth running of our office environment.
Responsibilities
Greet visitors and families in a courteous and professional manner
Manage incoming calls, answer queries, and direct calls appropriately using excellent phone etiquette
Maintain appointment schedules and organise diary efficiently
Handle correspondence via email and postal mail, ensuring timely responses
Maintain organised filing systems both digitally and physically
Assist with administrative duties such as photocopying, scanning, and document preparation
Ensure the reception area remains tidy and welcoming at all times
Requirements
Previous office experience or administrative experience is preferred
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail
Organised with good time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently
