Job Description

Country Day Nurseries is a large rural day nursery in Penton Mewsey, Andover. We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Room Leader to join our team. This position is full time and will you receive a competitive salary and be part of a fun and welcoming team.

You will work 8-6pm, four days a week with Wednesday's off.

Applicants will hold a Level 3 Childcare qualification.

Requirements for Nursery Room Leader

Previous experience as a Supervisor- Preferred

A positive, welcoming attitude and good communication skills

Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service

Excellent personal presentation standards

Ability to work effectively and positively as part of a team

Fluent in English both verbally and written

Responsibilities for Nursery Room Leader

To lead and carry out a range of varied activities suitable to the age range of children, alongside other staff To keep an up to date record of planning, next steps and developmental goals on your key children, for parents/carers Support other staff and engage in positive teamwork Develop parent partnerships to support parents/carers and other family members To be professional and a good role model to the children and other staff members, at all times To be flexible within working practices of the Setting. Be prepared to help where needed, including to undertake certain domestic jobs within the Setting, e.g. preparation of snack meals, cleansing of equipment etc. Work alongside the Nursery Manager and staff team to ensure that the nursery ethos is implemented and fulfilled Look upon the Setting as a "whole" where can your help be most utilised, be constantly aware of the needs of children To respect the confidentiality of information communicated to you To develop your role within the team especially with regard as a key person
