We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Room Leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the development of children aged 0-5 years. The Room Leader will play a crucial role in supporting children's learning through play-based activities, ensuring their safety and well-being, and fostering positive relationships with both children and their families, and supporting the team to strive and ensure outstanding childcare is being provided.
Duties
Plan and implement engaging educational activities that promote children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all children.
Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians on their development.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships within the nursery setting.
Manage classroom behaviour by promoting positive interactions among children.
Collaborate with other educators to ensure a cohesive approach to early years education.
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development in line with regulatory requirements.
Drive initiatives that enhance the nursery's educational offerings and overall quality of care.
Supporting Management with Leadership decisions and take part in Management meetings.
Skills
Strong leadership abilities to manage classroom dynamics effectively.
Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
Proven experience in childcare or early childhood education settings is essential.
Ability to create engaging learning experiences tailored to individual children's needs.
Knowledge of child development principles and practices within a nursery environment.
A proactive attitude with the drive to inspire young learners.
Proficiency in English is required for effective communication.
