Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Room Leader to join an established Nursery in Reading. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and a strong understanding of early childhood education principles. This role requires excellent communication skills in English, the ability to manage a classroom environment, and a commitment to fostering the development of young learners. As a Nursery Room Leader, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children.

Duties

Provide high-quality care and education for Nursery Children Manage the Room Practitioners through strong leadership Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development. Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to childcare. Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play activities. Ensure the nursery environment is safe, clean, and organised at all times. Lead by example, demonstrating positive behaviour and encouraging children to develop social skills. Support children's emotional well-being by providing comfort and reassurance when needed.

Qualifications

Experience working with Children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential. A level 3 qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare is essential. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage groups of Practitioners effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development. Ability to drive initiatives that enhance the learning experience within the nursery setting. Knowledge of child development theories and practices is an advantage.
