Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Room Leader to oversee the daily operations of our nursery room. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a solid background in early childhood education and childcare. This role requires a nurturing individual who can create a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for children while effectively communicating with parents and staff.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the nursery room team, ensuring high standards of care and education are maintained. Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development in line with early years frameworks. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social, emotional, and physical development. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe environment for children. Conduct regular assessments of children's development and maintain accurate records. Mentor and support nursery staff, providing guidance on best practices in childcare. Collaborate with other team members to create a cohesive approach to child development.

Requirements

Proven experience in a nursery setting or similar childcare environment. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively. Background in early childhood education is essential. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Experience working with children of various ages, demonstrating an understanding of their developmental needs. A valid driving licence is preferred but not essential. A genuine passion for childcare and commitment to providing high-quality care for children.
