A beautifully unique nursery on the edge of Epping Forest is looking for an experienced Room Leader to join its committed and passionate team. Set in a converted lodge house with forest school influences, this setting provides an enriching outdoor-led experience for babies through to preschoolers.

About the Setting:



Nestled next to the forest and with three large garden spaces, this nursery offers a creative blend of structured indoor learning and immersive outdoor exploration. Children enjoy daily access to nature, a sensory room, and a dedicated forest preschool housed in a log cabin.

There's a real focus here on team culture, outdoor experiences, and meaningful relationships with families -- with a team that's known for its longevity and warmth.

Your Role as Room Leader:



You'll be responsible for overseeing a room, guiding a team of practitioners to deliver inspiring, safe, and child-led early years experiences. You'll model best practice, provide leadership and mentoring, and ensure that every child is supported, happy, and engaged.

What you'll be doing:



Leading and motivating your room team to deliver outstanding care and learning Acting as a key person, building strong relationships with children and families Planning and overseeing engaging, age-appropriate activities aligned with the EYFS Supporting the emotional wellbeing and development of all children in your care Mentoring junior team members and supporting apprentices Maintaining a stimulating, inclusive, and well-resourced environment Working collaboratively with management to uphold best practice across the setting
