We are currently for a skilled and experienced Nursery Room Leader / Manager to be based in our Shirley Nursery. The nursery offers state-of-the-art facilities, combining bright and spacious indoor rooms along with fabulous outdoor areas.
You can earn up to 28,500.00 per annum working Full time (40 hours per week) - 4 days a week or 5 days at 8.30am to 5.30pm.
To be considered for the Nursery Room Leader / Room Manager role you must have:
At least 1 years' experience in a Nursery Room Leader role or equivalent
Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years childcare
Excellent knowledge & understanding of the EYFS & Statutory framework
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
Ability to use your own initiative
Your passion to be shown in your day-to-day interaction with children

Lead and motivate a team of practitioners to deliver high-quality care and education.
Model best practice in all areas, supporting staff development through mentoring, feedback, and example.
Ensure daily routines are carried out smoothly and consistently within the room.
Support with staff deployment, ensuring ratios and supervision are maintained at all times.
Planning & Curriculum
Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the EYFS curriculum.
Ensure that activities are engaging, inclusive, and tailored to meet the developmental needs of all children.
Use observations and assessments to track children's progress and plan next steps in learning.
Encourage creativity, exploration, and independence through a balance of child-initiated and adult-led experiences.
Safeguarding & Welfare
Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment that promotes children's health, safety, and well-being.
Follow and uphold all safeguarding, child protection, and confidentiality policies.
Support children with personal care, feeding, and toileting needs in a respectful and sensitive way.
Ensure all records, accident forms, and reports are completed accurately and promptly.
Communication & Partnership
Build positive, trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Communicate effectively with parents/carers about their child's experiences and development.
Work closely with the Nursery Manager, SENCo, and other professionals to support individual needs.
Administration & Organisation
Contribute to staff meetings, training sessions, and nursery events.
Assist with maintaining accurate documentation, including registers and planning records.
Help monitor and manage resources, ensuring the room is well-equipped and inviting.
