Our Room Leader supports the smooth daily running of their room, ensuring high-quality care, learning and play. They lead by example, guiding their team, creating a warm and stimulating environment and building strong partnerships with families. The Room Leader helps children thrive through engaging EYFS-led activities and positive interactions.

Our vision is to establish hybrid, community-led workspaces with flexible childcare for parents, predominantly mothers, where rising childcare costs and long waiting lists are preventing women from returning to their careers and restoring financial stability for their future.

Key Responsibilities



Lead the daily running of your room, maintaining a positive, child-centred environment. Support and mentor staff to deliver high-quality care and education. Plan and deliver fun, engaging, age-appropriate EYFS activities. Observe, assess and track children's learning and development. Build strong relationships with children and families. Ensure all children's individual needs are recognised and met. Maintain a clean, safe environment and complete regular checks. Follow safeguarding, health and safety procedures. Support with basic admin, records and communication.

Requirements



Level 3 Early Years qualification (minimum). Experience in childcare with previous Room Leader or senior experience preferred. Strong EYFS knowledge including planning, delivery and assessment. Good communication, leadership and teamwork skills. Understanding of safeguarding, child protection and inclusive practice. DBS check required; Paediatric First Aid, SEN or Food Hygiene desirable. Warm, proactive, organised and passionate about child development.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to 15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
