Baby Room Leader

to join a welcoming and well-established nursery located in the

London Borough of Ealing

to start as soon as possible.

This is a

permanent position

, offering

40 hours per week

on a

rotational basis

between

7:30am and 6:00pm

, across

47 weeks per year

. The salary is

dependent on experience

, starting from

28,000

per annum.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Nursery Room Leader or a Nursery Nurse looking to step up into a room leader position, someone who can create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for babies aged 6 months -2 years. This role would suit someone who is confident in leading a team, understands the EYFS framework, and genuinely loves working with children in their earliest developmental stages.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the baby room team to deliver high-quality care and education in line with EYFS standards. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to support early development. Ensure safeguarding and health & safety procedures are always followed. Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. Maintain accurate records of children's development and progress. Support and mentor junior staff, including apprentices and assistants.

Requirements

Minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years

(Essential)

Previous experience

working in a baby room setting (Desirable), experienced working within a Nursery (Essential) Excellent knowledge of the

EYFS

,

safeguarding

, and

child development

Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills Enhanced DBS (or willing to undergo one)
