Room Leader

to join our friendly team, working Monday to Friday 9am-6pm.

The Role

As a Room Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of qualified practitioners and assistants, ensuring high standards of care and education are maintained at all times. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll support your team in the day-to-day running of the room while also ensuring the smooth delivery of the EYFS curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and motivate your room team to deliver outstanding early years care and learning Allocate daily tasks, manage staff rotas and coordinate breaks Plan and implement a stimulating and age-appropriate curriculum in line with EYFS guidelines Ensure accurate and timely observations and assessments of children's development Oversee the use of EYLog for uploading learning journeys and updates to parents Hold weekly team meetings to review planning, reflect on practice, and prepare inspiring activities Mentor junior team members and support their ongoing development Participate in weekly Senior Leadership Team meetings with the Nursery Manager

About You

We are looking for someone who brings:

A minimum of

Level 3 in Childcare and Education

,

BA in Early Childhood Studies

, or

QTS

At least

2 years of experience

working in a nursery or early years setting Strong leadership and organisational skills A genuine passion for early years education and child development The ability to work effectively as part of a supportive and experienced team
