An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified and experienced Room Leader to join a well-regarded nursery setting in the Islington area. We are recruiting on behalf of our client a respected childcare provider known for delivering high-quality early years education and care.

This role would suit a passionate Early Years professional with a minimum Level 3 qualification and proven experience leading a room or team. You'll take responsibility for ensuring outstanding practice, inspiring your team, and creating an engaging environment where children can thrive.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Lead the day-to-day operations of your designated room, ensuring high standards of care and education Provide leadership, support and guidance to team members Create and maintain a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment Monitor and support the planning and implementation of EYFS-based activities Act as a key person to a group of children, maintaining accurate records of their development Work in partnership with parents, carers and professionals Support the development and mentoring of less experienced staff, students and apprentices Maintain compliance with safeguarding, health & safety and all relevant nursery policies
Requirements:

Level 3 qualification or above in Early Years Prior experience in a Room Leader or senior nursery practitioner role Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team Excellent communication and organisational abilities Enhanced DBS check
