We are seeking a
Level 3 or above - Room Leader
to help lead a team to deliver outstanding childcare, as well as providing a hands-on, fun, creative and an innovative environment for the children within our care.
About you - The ideal applicant
must
Be at Level 3 qualified or above
Have previous experience as a Nursery Room Leader or a Senior Practitioner
Have sound knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
Have strong leadership and team management skills
Have excellent communication skills with children, parents, and staff
Have the ability to plan and implement effective learning activities
Have a good understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection
Be reliable and punctual
Be warm, caring & passionate about working in early years
Be enthusiastic and positive (always see the glass half full)
Bring high energy to every task taken on, and a solution driven approach to problems
Have experience of working with children, families and outside agencies
Have a detailed understanding of the requirements set by Ofsted
Be an excellent team player who is also able to act on own initiative
The role will include
Ensuring that all children are happy, healthy and safe.
Leading and managing staff as a room leader
Supporting and mentoring staff, providing guidance and feedback
Managing room resources and maintaining equipment
Implementing our nursery curriculum.
Observing, supporting and extending children's learning.
Helping lead and working as part of a team in order to provide an enabling environment.
Providing high standards of quality within the nursery.
Maintaining accurate and effective children's records.
Demonstrating good practice with regard to special needs and inclusion.
Ensuring that all legislation in relation to special needs, safeguarding and Health and Safety is complied with.
