We are looking for a confident and caring
Nursery Room Leader
to join our nurturing and inclusive setting in
Lewisham
. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership role where you'll support young children's development while mentoring a team of practitioners.
About the Role:
As a
Room Leader
, you will take charge of a designated age group (baby, toddler, or preschool), guiding a team to provide outstanding care and learning experiences in line with the
Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
.
Responsibilities:
Lead, support and supervise the daily running of your nursery room
Plan and implement stimulating, age-appropriate activities based on the EYFS
Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate learning journals
Create a warm, safe and inclusive learning environment
Build strong relationships with children, families and staff
Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety and nursery policies
Coach and support junior practitioners and apprentices
What We're Looking For:
Minimum
Level 3 qualification
in Childcare or Early Years Education (essential)
Previous experience in a nursery setting, ideally as a Room Leader or Senior Practitioner
Strong knowledge of the
EYFS
and child development
Excellent leadership, teamwork and communication skills
A kind, positive, and proactive approach to childcare
A commitment to providing high-quality early years education
