About the Role:

As a

Room Leader

, you will lead a team of practitioners within your designated room (age group dependent), ensuring a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where children can learn through play and development is carefully planned and tracked in line with the

EYFS framework

.

Responsibilities:

Lead and support your room team to deliver high-quality childcare and education Create and maintain a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for children Plan and implement engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Observe, monitor, and track children's progress using effective assessment tools Build strong, professional relationships with parents, carers, and team members Support and mentor junior staff, promoting professional development and teamwork Ensure all safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies are followed
Requirements:

Level 3 or above

qualification in Childcare / Early Years Education (essential) Previous experience in a nursery setting, ideally in a Room Leader or Senior Practitioner role Sound knowledge of the

EYFS

, child development, and safeguarding procedures Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development
