Overview


We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Room Leader to join our team. This role is pivotal in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a background in early childhood education, and the ability to effectively communicate with both children and parents. As a Nursery Room Leader, you will be responsible for managing daily activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in your care, and fostering their development through engaging play and learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:



Supervise and support staff within designated room, promoting a positive and professional working atmosphere. Delegate tasks effectively and ensure staff understand their roles within the room. Develop and implement age-appropriate planning and organize stimulating activities to support children's development in line with the EYFS and our bespoke curriculum. Act as a responsible key person, maintaining accurate learning journeys for children. Build strong relationships with staff, children and families. Monitor and track development, identifying areas of concern. Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming room environment, following all safeguarding, health and safety and hygiene procedures. Communicate effectively with management and other room leaders to ensure consistency across the setting. Maintain accurate records in line with compliance and statutory requirements. Assist in preparing for Ofsted and any other audits. Model best practice and support staff training and meetings. Support ongoing improvement plans within the room and overall setting.

Required Skills & Qualifications:



Minimum Level 3 childcare qualification or above. Experience in a room leader/senior role is desirable. Strong knowledge of EYFS, child development and safeguarding policies. At least 2 years experience in nursery setting. A role with level of leadership responsibility and experience is desirable. Excellent communication and leadership skills. First aid and safeguarding training (or willingness to complete). An enhanced DBS check. Passionate, reliable and committed to providing high standards of care and education GCSE's or equivalent in English & Maths

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 13.50 per hour
