Job Summary


Our vibrant setting comprises of our Baby House which can hold up to 25 children aged 3-18m, and our main setting which can hold up to 75 children aged 18m+. Due to this recent expansion, we are now looking for two L3 qualified room leaders to inspire and direct our wonderful team of practitioners.

We have a fantastic management team in place, We have Natalie, our senior manager (who has been awarded the NDNA Nursery Manager of the Year 2025!), Amy, our assistant manager and Jenny, our deputy manager.

The role is 35 hours per week over 4 days, this means you will have a fantastic work life balance having 3 days off out of 7!

The Nursery Room Leader is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the nursery room, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. This role requires strong management and leadership skills to guide a team of childcare professionals while fostering positive relationships with children and their families. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to the development and well-being of young children.

Responsibilities



Lead and manage the nursery team, providing guidance and support to staff members. Create and implement engaging educational activities that promote children's development in line with early years frameworks. Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the nursery, adhering to health and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise. Maintain accurate records of children's development, attendance, and any incidents that occur within the nursery. Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive approach to childcare and education. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as required.

Qualifications



Proven experience in a leadership or management role within a childcare setting. Strong background in early childhood education or related field, with relevant qualifications essential. Experience working with children in a nursery or similar environment is essential. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues. Ability to drive may be advantageous for transporting children or attending off-site activities. A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their growth and development.

Pay: From 13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
