We are expanding in September and opening a new room for children aged 17 - 36 months, due to this we are now looking to employ a New Room Leader.
The position will be for a minimum of 4 days per week (Monday to Friday)
You will be responsible for providing high standards of quality care and play for children within a safe, stimulating and enjoyable environment; allowing our children to grow and develop to achieve their full potential. Ensuring confidentiality, following safeguarding procedures and maintaining the standards of our settings, ensuring that the setting is meeting Ofsted guidelines at all times.
Responsibilities:
Ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of the children at all times
Promoting positive relationships with parents, children and colleagues and other external agencies.
To act as a key person, carrying out observations and assessments, maintaining records of progress for each individual child.
Plan and implement the revised EYFS.
Prepare and plan activities for the children
Observe, support and extend children's learning
Liaising closely with parents/carers about their children's needs and to inform parents/carers how their child is progressing.
Be aware of any individual requirements/needs a child may have and to familiarise oneself with relevant play and learning plans.
Attend staff meetings and training courses as required, keeping up to date with current good practice
Maintain confidential information regarding the children, their families or others and ensure adherence to the nursery's policies and procedures
Prepare snacks, set up, clear away and supervise children during meal times.
Assist with setting up and closing down the setting each day, ensuring that the premises and environment are safe, clean and well maintained
Work as part of a team with other staff members and liaise with other senior staff and management, where appropriate.
To undertake any other responsibilities deemed necessary, as required under the direction of the management.
