Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Room Leader to oversee the daily operations of our 2-year-old nursery room. This role is vital in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, ensuring their safety, development, and happiness. The Nursery Room Leader will lead a team of childcare professionals, manage daily activities, and communicate effectively with parents and carers.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise a team of nursery staff to ensure high-quality care and education for children. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote early childhood development in line with educational standards. Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise. Manage daily operations, ensuring adequate staffing levels. Observe and assess children's development, providing feedback to parents and adapting activities as needed. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social, emotional, and cognitive growth.

Skills

Strong background in early childhood education with relevant qualifications. Experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential. Ideally proven leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate a team. Excellent communication skills in English to engage with children, parents, and staff. Ability to drive initiatives that enhance the nursery's educational programme. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a busy environment. A genuine passion for childcare and commitment to creating a nurturing atmosphere for all children.
