Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Room Leader to oversee the daily operations of one of our beautiful nursery rooms. We are an independent nursery who are in process of opening a second setting locally from September. The setting will be a similar size and the role is pivotal in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, ensuring their safety and well-being while promoting their development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and possess excellent leadership skills to manage a team of childcare professionals effectively. They will also hold a level 3 in childcare.

Duties

Lead and manage the nursery team, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care and education for all children. Ensure all safeguarding requirements are in place Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning through play, creativity, and exploration. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards within the nursery environment. Foster a warm and welcoming atmosphere that encourages children's social, emotional, and physical development. Maintain accurate records of children's development, attendance, and any incidents that may occur. Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive team dynamic focused on the best interests of the children.

Qualifications

Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential. A qualification in Early Childhood Education or a related field is highly desirable. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A genuine passion for childcare and commitment to fostering children's growth and development. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. A proactive approach with the drive to create an engaging learning environment for children.
