Deputy Room Leader (Level 3)

Hours:

Full-time, 40 hours per week (5 days)

Salary:

Up to 30,000 per year (depending on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic

Deputy Room Leader

to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified childcare professional with leadership experience, particularly working with children aged 2-3 years. You will support the Room Leader in managing the daily operations of the room while ensuring a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for the children.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Room Leader in the day-to-day running of the room. Provide high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS framework. Supervise, mentor, and support nursery practitioners. Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. Ensure safeguarding, health, and safety standards are met at all times. Contribute to planning, observations, and assessments to track children's development.

Requirements

Level 3 qualification in Childcare (essential). Senior experience working with children aged 2-3 years (essential). Strong understanding of the EYFS framework. Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a nursery setting. Excellent communication and organisational skills. A genuine passion for early years education.
