Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Room Leader to oversee the daily operations of one of our magical rooms here at Ivy House Thames Ditton. This role is crucial in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, excellent leadership skills, and a genuine love for working with children.

Duties

Lead and manage the nursery team to ensure high standards of care and education are maintained. Develop and implement engaging educational programmes that cater to the developmental needs of children. Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages children's social, emotional, and cognitive development. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and well-being. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and nursery procedures. Mentor and support staff in their professional development, promoting teamwork and collaboration. Maintain accurate records of children's activities, assessments, and attendance.

Requirements

Proven experience in childcare or nursery settings, with a strong understanding of early childhood education principles. Demonstrated management and leadership skills to guide a team effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage with children, parents, and colleagues. A genuine passion for working with children, alongside the ability to create a warm and welcoming environment. A minimum Level 3 Childcare qualification
