About the Setting:
This vibrant nursery supports children from babies through to preschool in a warm, engaging environment tailored to early years learning. The Role - What You'll Be Doing:
As Room Leader, you'll lead the day-to-day running of your room, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and nurturing space for all children in your care. You'll be a role model to your team, guiding best practice and supporting colleagues to deliver high standards across all aspects of care and education.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of practitioners within your room
Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate activities in line with the EYFS
Act as key person for a small group of children, building strong parent partnerships
Ensure high standards of safety, hygiene, and safeguarding are always maintained
Support and mentor staff, giving guidance, feedback, and encouragement
Take an active role in team meetings and contribute to room planning
Communicate effectively with families, professionals, and colleagues
Ensure the learning environment is engaging, inclusive, and well-resourced
What We're Looking For:
Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or equivalent)
Previous experience in a nursery setting (ideally in a senior or leadership role)
Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding standards
Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills
A genuine passion for early childhood education and supporting others to grow
Confident, calm, and able to take initiative when needed
