Nursery Room Leader - 42.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday, All year round - Salary - 31,000 per annum

Located near Brooklands Business Park, Cherrylands Nursery boasts excellent public transport links and a spacious car park, ensuring that our nursery is convenient and easily accessible for commuters. Our intimate setting, surrounded by beautiful rural landscapes, allows children to connect with nature and enjoy a range of outdoor activities.


We feature a large outdoor play area complete with a climbing frame, as well as a dedicated baby garden. These spaces provide children with safe, stimulating opportunities to explore, engage, and play, supporting their physical, social, and emotional development.


We are currently seeking a Nursery Room Leader to join our expanding team. This full-time role offers 42.5 hours per week, with varying shift patterns between 8am and 6pm. Our nursery operates year-round and is not a term-time only position. To apply, you'll need a full, relevant Level 3 childcare qualification. The salary for this position is 31,000 per annum, depending on your qualifications and experience.

As Room Leader, you will:


Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development. Enhance the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development. Assist staff in updating the EyLog system and their child learning journals with the highest quality. Promote respect and credibility for this position by leading as a role model with impartiality and consistency. Assist with embedding an effective key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and identify training or development needs for staff. Maintain accurate records and accounts relating to children and staff on EyMan system and on file. Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor always. Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met.
