To be considered for this role, you must hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

27,352 per annum, based on experience (40 hours per week).

About our Nursery

Our purpose-built Sixpenny Day Nursery at Roundway Hill Farm provides a stimulating learning environment for the children of the Devizes community. Bi-fold doors allow for free-flowing indoor and outdoor play and easy visibility of the wildlife in the acres of land around us, including rabbits and deer. The nursery also has a dedicated area for its own pygmy goats, where the children can excitedly feed and care for them. The team is proud of our Ofsted-rated 'Good' Devizes nursery, which specialises in outdoor learning and adopts a 'Forest School' learning approach. Situated in the Hamlet of Roundway, we are a short drive from Devizes and easily accessible from the A361. We are located next to the Roundway Hill Business Centre, off Hopton Road. We have plenty of parking on site for the team.

What being a Nursery Room Leader involves

As a Nursery Room Leader, you will work alongside the Nursery Manager to lead and inspire your team while delivering exceptional care and education. Key responsibilities include:


Leading and mentoring the team to provide high-quality early years education with passion and energy. Supporting the Nursery Manager to ensure smooth nursery operations and consistent quality. Acting as a role model by promoting initiative, creativity, and high standards of care. Building strong relationships with families, colleagues, and external agencies to support the best outcomes for children. Overseeing the team's implementation of the EYFS framework, ensuring engaging learning opportunities. Taking charge of nursery operations in the Nursery Manager's absence. Encouraging continuous improvement through feedback and supporting professional development. Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that meets each child's needs.
