We are seeking a passionate, experienced Level 3 certificate Forest School Lead and Senior Educator to join our well-regarded early years setting. This role is essential in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, ensuring their growth and development through engaging educational practices. The Senior Educator will work closely with children, families, and staff to create an inclusive atmosphere that supports learning and development for all students, particularly those with special needs. Your primary focus will be to bring the Forest School provision to the setting and gain "provider" status through delivering the full scope of Quality Forest School through all of the 6 key principles.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programs that cater to the diverse needs of children.
Provide individualized support to children with disabilities and special education needs, ensuring their full participation in classroom activities.
Create a safe and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning in both the indoor and outdoor spaces and environments
Manage classroom behavior effectively, using positive reinforcement strategies to promote good conduct among students.
Collaborate with parents and caregivers to discuss children's progress and address any concerns regarding their development.
Maintain accurate records of children's progress, behaviors, and any incidents that occur in the classroom.
Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in early childhood education.
Supervise and mentor junior educators or teaching assistants within the classroom setting and develop a succession plan for the future continuity and development of the setting as a Forest School Provider.
Experience
Proven experience working with children in the early years sector
Strong background in early childhood education, including knowledge of childhood development principles within the EYFS
Experience with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
Paediatric First Aid qualification
To be registered on the DBS update service
Level 3 qualified as a minimum within the Early Years sector
Level 3 FSA qualified

Pay: 24,420.00-30,000.00 per year
