Job Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years or Nursery Teacher to join our vibrant educational team. This role is ideal for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or a fully qualified teacher with a PGCE and QTS, who is passionate about working with young children in a nurturing and stimulating environment.
The successful candidate must have a registered DBS certificate on the update service and ideally bring previous experience working with children in a nursery or early years setting.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons tailored to the developmental needs of young children
Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages learning through play and exploration
Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback and support to parents and carers
Communicate effectively with children, families, and colleagues to ensure consistent and collaborative care and education
Support children's personal, social, emotional, and cognitive development
Promote positive behaviour and manage classroom routines effectively
Participate in school and nursery-wide initiatives, including enrichment and extracurricular activities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including assessments, attendance, and safeguarding documentation
Work collaboratively with fellow educators to plan and refine teaching strategies
Essential Requirements
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or a PGCE with a focus on Early Years Education
Registered DBS certificate on the update service
Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
Passion for early years education and a genuine commitment to supporting children's growth and development
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Organised, adaptable, and proactive in a dynamic educational environment
Desirable
Previous experience working with children in a nursery or early years setting
Familiarity with safeguarding and child protection procedures
