Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Third in Charge to join our team. This pivotal role involves supporting the Nursery Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, along with a passion for early childhood education. You will play a key role in fostering the development of children while maintaining high standards of care and education.

Responsibilities

Assist the Nursery Manager in the daily running of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. Supervise and support nursery staff, providing guidance and leadership to promote effective teamwork. Plan and implement engaging educational activities that cater to the developmental needs of children. Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children to learn and play. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns. Ensure all records are kept up-to-date, including attendance, incidents, and developmental milestones. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social, emotional, and cognitive development. Support staff training and development initiatives to enhance childcare practices within the nursery.

Requirements

Proven experience in a nursery or childcare setting is essential. Strong management and leadership skills to effectively guide staff and operations. Background in early childhood education and relevant qualifications is required. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Experience working with children, demonstrating a genuine passion for their development. A commitment to safeguarding children's welfare and promoting an inclusive environment. Pay: 13.81 per hour

Expected hours: 39 - 43.75 per week
