Nursing Assistant - The Mountains Care Home

Location: Libanus, Brecon, Powys, LD3 8EN
Pay: 13.85 per hour
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 36 per week | 12-hour shifts (08:00-20:00 or 20:00-08:00)
Rota: Rolling | Every other weekend | Issued ~2 months in advance

Support with Purpose in a Specialist Dementia & Mental Health Setting

We're seeking a compassionate and skilled Nursing Assistant to join our dedicated team at The Mountains. If you're experienced in dementia care and committed to supporting older adults with complex needs, this role offers meaningful, rewarding work in a supportive setting.

About The Mountains

Located in the heart of the Brecon Beacons, The Mountains provides specialist dementia and mental health care for adults aged 65+. Our home combines a calm, rural environment with high-quality, person-centred support delivered by a committed team.

Your Role

Assist with personal care, hygiene, and mobility Support nurses with wound care, catheter care, pressure area monitoring, and vital signs Help with medication (where trained and appropriate) Record and report changes in residents' health Promote dignity, independence, and comfort Maintain a safe, clean environment Contribute to care plans and handovers

What We're Looking For

? Previous experience in nursing or dementia care (essential)
? NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care
? Confident supporting people with complex needs
? Calm, reliable, and proactive
? Strong teamwork and communication skills
? Flexible to work both days and nights, including alternate weekends
