Do you often wonder what happens to patients in Diagnostic Imaging / Interventional Radiology and who looks after their care and welfare whilst in the department?

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Band 3 Senior Nursing Assistant to join our highly skilled and motivated team in providing excellent care, whilst caring for patients undergoing interventional procedures and recovering within the department.

Some of the procedures we do are:

VASCULAR

Pelvic Vein, Uterine Fibroid, Varicocoele, Prostate Artery Embolisations Peripheral Vascular Angiograms, Angioplasties and Vascular Stenting
NON-VASCULAR

Percutaneous Biopsies and Drainages, etc. Nephrostomy Insertion/Removal and Ureteric Stenting Fluoroscopy -guided Gastrostomy Tube Insertions Thyroid Ablations Sialography IVC filter insertion and removal
The unique and varied nature of the speciality means there is always something new and interesting to learn as new procedures are developed and undertaken. We provide high quality patient focused care to outpatients and in-patients. Successful candidates will be appointed to the first pay step within the band when they start with the Trust (unless they have previous relevant NHS continuous service), thereafter individuals will progress up the pay steps in accordance with NHS Agenda for Change (AfC) terms and conditions. For part time roles you will receive a pro rata'd (proportional) salary payment based on the appropriate pay step/point and hours worked in accordance with AfC and all medical and dental terms and conditions.
