Permanent, Full-Time

Hours:

36 hours per week | 07:00 - 19:00 | Rolling rota including weekends & bank holidays

Are you an experienced and caring healthcare professional looking for a meaningful role in a supportive environment? At Glyncornel Nursing Home, we're seeking a dedicated Nurse Assistant to join our day team and provide vital clinical and personal support to older adults.

About Glyncornel

For over 30 years, Glyncornel Nursing Home has been delivering high-quality care to older adults in a peaceful residential setting. With just 16 beds, our home offers a calm, close-knit environment where both residents and staff are genuinely valued. Many of our residents live with dementia and complex health conditions, and we're proud of our strong reputation for kindness, professionalism, and person-centred care.

Your Role

As a Nurse Assistant, you'll work alongside our registered nurses to ensure residents receive safe, effective, and dignified care.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting residents with day-to-day clinical care under nurse supervision Assisting with wound care, pressure area monitoring, catheter care, and clinical observations Helping with personal care such as washing, dressing, and toileting Supporting with medication administration (where trained) Accurately recording care and reporting health changes promptly Promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing at all times Maintaining infection control, hygiene, and safety standards

What We're Looking For

? Experience working in a care or nursing home environment
? Knowledge of older adult care, including dementia support
? Calm, patient, and compassionate approach
? Strong observation and communication skills
? Ability to follow clinical care plans and escalate concerns appropriately
? NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (preferred, or willingness to work towards it)
? Willingness to complete further training in clinical care, safeguarding, and medication
