Job Description

There are a variety of Primary Clinical Duties, some of which are below: You will be responsible for the provision of skilled nursing care to the practice population within your own competence and NMC professional code of conduct, working under the supervision of a Registered General Nurse. Deliver care within the boundaries of your role, knowledge and competence, focusing on supporting patients to be healthy, monitoring of long term conditions, health prevention and screening activities. Implement and evaluate programmes of care to improve health and well-being and meet the healthcare needs of individuals and groups. Prioritise health problems and intervene appropriately to assist the patient in complex, urgent or emergency situations, including initiation of effective emergency care.

Demonstrate a range of technical and clinical skills and competencies in accordance with the needs of the practice. Ability to work under pressure, prioritising workload effectively. Provide holistic care putting the patient first and acting in the best interests of patients and their families. Always follow practice guidelines and undertake appropriate training to achieve competence.

Offer Health Promotions and performing certain Nursing Tasks. There are also Clinical Care Administration Tasks.
