Job Description

This is a fixed term/secondment vacancy until 31/03/2027 to cover secondment.

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our Emergency & Urgent Care Team in Bronglais General Hospital.



The busy department consists of 2 Resus Bays, 4 Majors Bays, a Minor Injuries Unit, an Ambulatory Care Unit and Clinical Decision Unit of 13 beds.



The Department is able to provide dynamic intervention for the critically ill or injured patient. The EUCC Team is strongly centred on teamwork and patient care and the staff are proud to work in a diverse and friendly supportive environment.



Ideally, the candidate will have experience of working within an Acute Care Setting, however, full support and training would be given to any candidate who is motivated to join our team.



Bronglais General Hospital is situated in the coastal town of Aberystwyth along with the vibrant cosmopolitan University and National Library of Wales.



Ceredigion is one of the most beautiful and contrasting counties in the UK which boasts a wide range of traditional villages and seaside towns with busy cities within driving & rail distance. Hywel Dda University Health Board plans and provides NHS healthcare services for people living in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, and bordering counties.



We have over 13,000 staff and together we provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services.

Bronglais Hospital in Aberystwyth; Glangwili Hospital in Carmarthen; Prince Philip Hospital in Llanelli; and Withybush Hospital in Haverfordwest

Five community hospitals:

Amman Valley and Llandovery hospitals in Carmarthenshire; Tregaron Hospital in Ceredigion; and Tenby and South Pembrokeshire hospitals in Pembrokeshire

Two integrated care centres:

Aberaeron and Cardigan in Ceredigion, and several other community settings

47 general practices (six of which are health board managed practices); dental practices (including four orthodontic); 97

community pharmacies; 43 general ophthalmic practices; and 8 ophthalmic domiciliary providers

Numerous mental health and learning disabilities services
