Key Responsibilities
Loft Insulation Installation
Carry out the installation of cold-roof loft insulation systems to the precise standards mandated by
PAS 2030
and associated retrofit specifications.
Ensure all preparatory works, protection measures, and installation methods comply fully with the designated technical operating procedures.
Loft Hatch Installation & Adaptation
Install, upgrade, or adapt loft hatches to meet access, ventilation, and thermal-performance requirements.
Ensure finished openings are neat, compliant, and suitable for ongoing access and maintenance.
Compliance & Documentation
Collect and record all required survey and installation data, including dimensions, insulation depths, photographic evidence, ventilation checks, pre- and post-installation conditions, and any declared variations.
Maintain complete, accurate, and timely compliance packs to support auditing, funding, and quality-assurance processes.
Engage constructively with technical monitoring, reinspections, and sign-off processes.
Health, Safety & Site Conduct
Uphold statutory health and safety duties, including safe access and working practices within confined loft spaces.
Follow risk assessments, method statements, and safe-system-of-work requirements.
Represent the company and client organisations with professionalism, courtesy, and respect at all times.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
NVQ Level 2 in Cold Roof Insulation
(or equivalent recognised qualification).
Demonstrable experience installing loft insulation systems under
PAS 2030
or comparable quality frameworks.
Proven ability to collect, structure, and present complete technical data sets.
Competence in the installation of loft hatches and associated joinery or adaptation works.
Strong working knowledge of ventilation requirements, moisture-risk mitigation, and best-practice retrofit principles.
