The Occupational Health Nurse (OHN) will provide support to the Occupational Health Manager (OHM) and the Senior Nurse (OSN) in delivering an effective Occupational Health Service for British Steel.
The role of the OHN is to implement the agreed policies, practices, and health programs in all aspects of Occupational Health services including ensuring quality medicals are performed, suitable referrals are made to the doctors and other professionals such as medical technicians, effective communications are given to managers and data is stored collected in an appropriate manner. Provide medical emergency assistance and treatment as appropriated to the patient. Comply with the professional code of standards and behaviour as set out by the nursing & midwifery council (NMC) keep his/her pin up to date.

RGN qualification
is essential.
Experience in an
Occupational Health setting
is desirable; however, transferable skills, relevant experience, and knowledge will be considered.
An
Occupational Health qualification
is desirable but not essential.
IT proficiency
: confident in using email, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and databases.
Personal attributes
: self-motivated, adaptable, and a strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work
independently and collaboratively
to deliver a high-quality, auditable medical service.
Willingness to undertake any reasonable management request.
