Brief Description
In this role, you will lead a team of Medical Coordinators across regional Occupational Health locations. You will ensure the effective and professional delivery of a high-quality national Occupational Health service for Network Rail. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to engage and collaborate with key stakeholders at both regional and national levels, driving service excellence and consistency across the network.

What does the average day look like?
As our Occupational Health Service Delivery Manager, you'll play a key role in keeping our people safe, healthy, and supported. Leading a dedicated team of Medical Coordinators, you'll make sure high-quality occupational health services are delivered seamlessly across the country.
No two days will be the same. From resolving national escalations to analysing clinic performance and shaping improvements, you'll be at the heart of a service that underpins the wellbeing of thousands of colleagues. You'll collaborate with internal teams, external suppliers, and senior stakeholders - building strong relationships that help us deliver the best possible outcomes.
This role is about more than managing operations; it's about driving innovation and continuous improvement. You'll listen to customer feedback, spot opportunities to enhance service delivery, and develop cost-effective solutions that make a real difference.
You'll also take ownership of critical processes - from risk assessments and compliance to equipment maintenance and national health surveillance programmes. With live IT platforms at your fingertips, you'll oversee planning, resourcing, and reporting to keep services running smoothly.

Who are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in Occupational Health or Operational Management, ideally with a relevant qualification. You'll have strong customer service skills and a deep understanding of occupational health services, alongside a track record of successfully managing teams. You are confident in influencing senior stakeholders, handling sensitive conversations, and applying sound judgment in complex operational settings.
