Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic person to join our passionate team as a peripatetic Occupational Health Technician. This is a fast paced and very rewarding role that involves travelling to different client sites to provide a professional service, carrying out a range of workplace medicals and screening. Travel and overnight stays will be a regular requirement of the role, all booked and paid for in advance by our efficient admin team.

Previous experience as a Technician is not required as you will be given full training. You will need to work to our standards and protocols and in a professional manner, respecting the confidentiality and dignity of the patients/clients.

The OH Technician works to support the OH Nurses and Doctors and their role is to accurately record information for the nurses and doctors to interpret. Your role will be to carry out medicals which may include the following tests:

baseline measurements such as height, weight, blood pressure, urinalysis. health surveillance screening such as audiometry, lung function testing. drug and alcohol testing
We are seeking someone for 5 days per week, Monday to Friday. The core hours are 08:00-16:00 however times may vary depending upon client needs and there may be some weekend or night work on occasions.

This role will be based in Southampton and surrounding areas but will include regular travel across the South Coast and to the Isle of Wight. Occasional travel further afield will be required. We do ask for a bit of flexibility from you however we do understand that work/life balance is important and as such we do offer time off in lieu of travel on top of all our other benefits.

Job requirements:



5 GCSE's (grade 4/C or above including Maths and English is essential)

A levels or a degree are desirable

Must be IT literate, have good communication skills and enjoy working with people.

Previous experience in a health, wellbeing or sports science role is desirable.

You will need to have a full clean driving licence and your own car.
