Job Description

We are seeking a

Sensory Integration-trained Occupational Therapist

to work as a

subcontractor

providing

sensory integration assessments for children

and completing

full, detailed written reports

of assessment findings.

This role is ideal for an OT with specialist training in sensory integration who is confident in assessment, clinical reasoning, and high-quality report writing.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct

sensory integration assessments for children

, using appropriate standardised and non-standardised tools Gather relevant background information from parents/caregivers and other professionals as required Observe and assess children's sensory processing and functional participation Analyse assessment findings using sound clinical reasoning and sensory integration principles Prepare

comprehensive, well-structured reports

, including: Assessment tools used Results and interpretation Functional implications for the child Clear, practical recommendations Complete assessments and reports within agreed timeframes

Essential Requirements

Degree in Occupational Therapy Current registration with the relevant professional body

Formal training in Sensory Integration (essential)

Experience conducting

sensory integration assessments with children

Strong report-writing and written communication skills Ability to work independently as a subcontractor Professional indemnity and public liability insurance Relevant checks for working with children, as required

Desirable

Advanced or postgraduate training in Sensory Integration Experience working with neurodivergent children Familiarity with a range of sensory integration assessment tools

Contract Details

Subcontractor role Flexible workload Competitive per-assessment or per-report remuneration. We pay 300 per completed assessment. Opportunity for ongoing assessment referrals
