Cygnet St Augustines is a 32 bed specialist high support inpatient rehabilitation (level 2) for men. Our fantastic facilities and multi-disciplinary treatment programme are designed to assist individuals with their return to community living. Those placed with us often come from multiple placement breakdowns, failed treatment programmes or are stepping down from secure settings.Main duties of the jobAt Cygnet Healthcare, we have a strong occupational focus through support and direction from Clinical Leads and our Occupational Therapy Directors. We use evidence-based practice within each of our service lines, as defined by our clinical steering groups, of which Occupational Therapists play a key role. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will provide assessment and treatment of occupational dysfunction under the supervision of a more senior Occupational Therapist. An integral part of this role will be supervising others, with a focus on supporting student education within the team. This role includes opportunities for learning, development and research, supported by a robust appraisal and supervision structure based on RCOTs Career Development Framework.About usCygnet Health Care was established in 1988. Our fantastic facilities and multi-disciplinary treatment programme are designed to assist individuals with their return to community living. Those placed with us often come from multiple placement breakdowns, failed treatment programmes or are stepping down from secure settings.Our dedicated clinical teams provide a full multi-disciplinary programme that includes; occupational therapy, psychology, psychiatry and vocational training, offering service users the opportunities and support they need to stabilise their condition and enter society with a renewed sense of enthusiasm and optimism.Cygnet St Augustines is located in Stoke-on-Trent in the West Midlands. The service is within walking distance of a small town centre with plenty of shops, cafs and activities, as well as having great transport links around the city. The local train station has regular services to surrounding areas including Manchester and Birmingham. We have strong community links allowing a multitude of opportunities for volunteering and charity work, including foodbanks, charity shops and football club.Within the service, all bedrooms have en-suite facilities, 16 of which are situated on the ground floor. We have dedicated therapy spaces, an IT caf, gym and two comfortable TV lounges with games consoles.There is a dedicated clinical team who provide multi-disciplinary input including occupational therapy, psychology, psychiatry, and nursing staff. You will be supported by a Band 7 Occupational Therapist and 4 Activity Co-ordinators across site.Occupational Therapy DirectorateUnder the leadership of our occupational therapy directors we support over 150 Occupational Therapists.
