Job Description

We are seeking a specialist , dynamic and extensively experienced B and 7 Occupational Therapist to join our Community Mental Health Service .



The postholder will lead and deliver high-quality, evidence-based occupational therapy assessment and interventions for adults with complex mental health needs in a secondary care, community setting.



This includes managing a complex caseload, providing clinical & professional leadership, supervision, line management duties, and contributing to service development, quality improvements and transformation initiatives.



The postholder will join a full complement of MDT professions, as a highly motivated and enthusiastic member of the team that supports a positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent holistic care.



You will have regular access to Occupational Therapy specific supervision, support, networking and development opportunities.



This position is full time, permanent , working onsite or in the community five days a week at NHS, S lough New Horizon, Pursers Court, Slough.



Clinical



Deliver advanced OT assessments, interventions and outcome measures, using evidence-based, client-centred approaches for adults with complex mental health needs and diverse co-morbidities .



Leadership and Supervision



Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to junior OTs, support workers, apprentices, and students.



Service Development and Governance



Lead in service evaluation, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.



Other Duties



Take a lead on and be responsible for the oversight of the rehabilitation programme within the established Supported Housing project. Take a lead on ensuring the provider is working in a way that is compliant with Local Authority Commissioning Contracts.

To develop and facilitate co-produced workshops for the Recovery College.

The "must haves" for this role:



Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy



HCPC Registration



Mental Health - Recovery/rehabilitation approaches



Significant post-qualification experience in mental health



Experience of working in community settings



Supervision of staff or students



Experience in leadership
