This specialist service supports individuals presenting with complex personality disorders, many of whom have a history of violent or sexual offending, as well as personal experiences of abuse. As an Occupational Therapist within this team, you'll play a vital role in delivering personalised, recovery-focused care. You'll use your skills to assess and support clients' health and well-being from an occupational perspective, working closely with a dedicated multidisciplinary team to promote meaningful progress towards their goals.

What you can add:
You will manage a caseload of clients with complex needs, using evidence based/client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.
You will provide leadership for junior staff and students, through regular supervision and appraisal.
You will participate in the planning, development and evaluation of OT/MDT services, holding responsibility for defined projects.
You will demonstrate excellent communication skills to engage with clients, their families, and external agencies with empathy and professionalism.
You will show commitment to continuous professional development and uphold the highest standards of practice and ethics.
What you'll need:
Registered Occupational Therapist (HCPC)
UK NHS Experience
Clinical experience in Mental Health settings
Post registration experience as an OT
Experience advising and supporting/supervising junior staff and students
Detailed knowledge of the principles of risk assessment and risk management
Specialist knowledge and application of OT assessments and interventions and outcome measures, relevant to client group
Desirable:
Forensic experience
Open to new ideas and awareness of general issues that might have relevance to service users involvement.
