Become part of something amazing! We are expanding our Occupational Therapy service which support adults to maximise their potential within their homes and communities. We fully recognise the value and fundamental importance of Occupational Therapy in promoting people's wellbeing, maximising independence, and supporting people to live meaningful lives.
The post holder will be working as an Occupational Therapist supporting domiciliary care services to implement optimised care by:
Promoting and improving the independence of adults in the community by provision of equipment and adaptations, moving with dignity, and interventions, with a large element focusing on moving and handling.
Providing person-centred Occupational Therapy interventions to prevent, reduce and delay the need for formal care & support services
Having excellent interpersonal skills; working with the person, their families, other professionals and the carers.
Be able to work alone and within a team
Be able to organise and prioritise workload and balance this with conflicting demands of the role
The service operates over 5 days a week. Monday-Friday (no unsociable hours).
We welcome applicants who are newly qualified or returning to practice. We have a robust preceptorship scheme which supports accelerated progression within your grade. In addition, we have progression routes from a grade 8 to 9 which support staff to develop clinical expertise and leadership skills.
