About the Role

We are currently seeking experienced

Occupational Therapists

to join NHS Mental Health Trusts across London on a temporary agency basis. You'll play a key role in delivering patient-centred, recovery-focused occupational therapy interventions for adults with complex mental health needs.

These roles are ideal for OTs looking to expand their NHS experience, work across diverse clinical teams, and make a real difference in community and inpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy assessments and interventions for adults with mental health conditions. Develop and implement personalised treatment and recovery plans in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams. Support patients in achieving independence and improving daily living skills. Contribute to care planning, risk assessment, and discharge planning. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with NHS standards. Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and service development initiatives.

Skills & Experience Required

HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist

. Previous experience within

mental health settings

(community, inpatient, or step-down). Strong assessment, care planning, and therapeutic intervention skills. Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Experience with functional assessments and rehabilitation planning desirable.

Desirable Experience (Not Essential)

Work in

crisis, early intervention, rehabilitation, or step-down units

. Experience with

older adults, forensic, or CAMHS

services. Familiarity with

CPA processes

and NHS documentation systems (RiO / SystmOne).

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary, Fixed term contract, Zero hours contract

Pay: 25.00-40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
