To plan and provide a range of occupational assessments and treatments that will promote recovery and wellbeing for the young people and families with severe Anorexia Nervosa. To support the promotion of Occupational Therapy within the clinical area and to contribute to the development of the OT pathway at Spring Tide. To contribute to and facilitate occupational therapy interventions via group work with regular support and supervision. To identify OT therapy goals as part of overall care To offer specialist clinical supervision for junior OT staff at Spring Tide.
General:
To manage a caseload of young people and their families with the regular support and supervision of a team manager and professional supervisor, using evidence based/ client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions. This includes being part of a mini team for a young person and family, being involved in the family work and care co-ordination involving liaising with relevant agencies outside of Spring Tide i.e, community mental health teams/Eating Disorder Teams, Schools, GP's and hospitals (both mental health inpatient and general medicine). To contribute to the overall running of the therapeutic day at Spring Tide, including taking on the role of shift co-ordinator on a rota basis, joining meal supports for young people, taking on simple kitchen duties as needed, and working with the Multi-Disciplinary team to create a welcoming and positive environment for the young people and families. To contribute to the Multi-Disciplinary Team meeting on a weekly basis, take part in reflective practice and relevant trainings and work in a collaborative way with all staff.
To provide excellent risk assessment and management for young people with complex mental and physical health problems.
