The post holder will be working in a locked environment with patients detained under The Mental Health Act, many of whom suffer from a severe and enduring mental illness which may present itself at times in episodes of violence to others or the environment. This will include routinely working with distressing forensic material in the context of a severe and enduring mental illness. Thus specialist skills, \xe2\x80\x98forensic awareness\xe2\x80\x99 are required of all staff working in the NLFS, which includes vigilance at all times on issues of safety and security, the capability to de-escalate the risk of violence, and the ability and capacity to deliver clinical care in locked, sometimes volatile, and sometimes distressing circumstances.
Requirements:
- OT degree and full qualifications
- HCPC registration
- UK experience
