Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing therapeutic interventions to help patients achieve their maximum potential in daily living and working activities. This role involves working closely with individuals of all ages, including paediatrics, in various settings such as hospitals and critical care units.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and social needs to develop tailored treatment plans.
Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at improving patients' functional abilities and quality of life.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and strategies for improvement.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
Stay updated on the latest medical terminology and practices related to occupational therapy.
Provide case management support to facilitate continuity of care for patients.
Skills
Strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology relevant to occupational therapy.
Experience in patient care, particularly within hospital settings or critical care environments.
Familiarity with speech therapy techniques is advantageous.
Ability to work effectively with paediatric patients and their families.
Proficiency in medical imaging processes as they relate to patient assessments.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
