Job Introduction

Are you a newly qualified or early-career Occupational Therapist ready to make a difference in your local community?


We have a brilliant opportunity to join our Adult Social Care Community Occupational Therapy service, where you'll be supported to grow your clinical skills and confidence in a real-world setting.


Working alongside experienced colleagues, you'll help adults live more independently by delivering person-centred assessments, recommending equipment, and contributing to care planning.


You'll benefit from regular supervision, access to a structured preceptorship programme, and ongoing professional development opportunities to help you build a strong foundation in community-based occupational therapy.

This is a site-based role.

Role Responsibilities
Provide professional leadership in cases and support unqualified workers in their practice and be responsible for assessing and co-ordinating cases involving risk and complexity. Demonstrate an ability to be a reflective practitioner and use creativity to explore individual circumstances and plan appropriate interventions. Ensure that all records are accurately maintained within agreed timescales. Co-ordinate and lead professional meetings. Provide professional supervision to undergraduate students and unqualified colleagues.

Ideal Candidate
A degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Therapy. Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration. A commitment to continued professional development (CPD) and the development of services. Ability to use IT systems to effectively record and communicate.

For this role, the candidate is required to have a full UK driving licence, along with access to a vehicle. Evidence of the driving licence and vehicle insurance with business insurance will be required from the candidate should they be offered this position. Without this documentation the candidate will not be appointable.


Should you be offered the role, as part of the pre-employment checks an Enhanced DBS will be actioned for you (unless you are on the DBS Update Service).

Our roles are either designated 'site based' or 'home based'. 'Site based' roles can include up to two days a week working from home whilst 'home based' roles are based at home four days a week. Of course, managers designate which category roles are in based on the needs of the service and the circumstances.
