George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust is offering an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Specialist Occupational Therapist to play a key role in supporting patients with complex needs to regain independence and quality of life. Working as an autonomous practitioner, you'll manage a varied caseload across specialist areas, carrying out holistic assessments, planning personalised interventions, and working closely with patients, families, and the wider multidisciplinary team to support safe, effective discharge planning.

What you can add:
Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with complex or chronic conditions within the specialist area.
Work autonomously, undertaking a significant specialist clinical caseload, without direct supervision.
Supervise and teach junior therapists, assistants, and undergraduate students.
Demonstrate leadership skills, contribute to service development and uphold standards of practice.
Work flexibly across a 7-day period as required by the service.
What you'll need:
Active HCPC registration with no restrictions to practise
Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy
Evidence of ongoing continuous professional development
Experience supervising and mentoring junior staff and students
Previous acute NHS experience
Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes
Strong experience in therapeutic assessment, treatment planning, goal setting and discharge planning
