There is a fantastic opportunity for an HCPC registered individual to join the Phoenix ward team in Oxford as an Occupational Therapist, working with adults of working age who are experiencing mental health challenges.



Alongside clinical duties you will be supported to gain experience and skills in leadership, research and quality improvement as well as other training relevant to your post. in addition, you will receive clinical supervision as well as peer support from Band 6 colleagues.

Responsibilities of the role include:



Managing a caseload of clients with complex OT needs, using evidence based/client-centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions in the ward and community settings and on home visits.

Supervising junior members of the therapy team

Maintaining your own CPD all whilst being responsive to the needs of a busy service.

It is expected that you would provide a high standard of occupational therapy to service users and actively participate in team meetings and ward rounds to ensure the occupational needs of service users are being met.



Excellent communication skills are required and the ability to be adaptable, flexible and creative when working with people with varying levels of need. You will have the opportunity to supervise junior members of the therapy team as well as be a practise educator for students.
