Integrated Community Equipment Loans Service Sheffield (ICELSS)

Are you interested in joining a small team that makes a real difference in helping children and adults lead more independent lives?

The Integrated Community Equipment Loans Service Sheffield (ICELSS) are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join the team. You will be working with health and social care prescribers of equipment and our current provider Medequip. The role includes:

  • Managing special equipment requests
  • Contacting Service users with no prescribers and prescribing replacement equipment
  • Ensuring equipment available has adequate descriptions/supporting info
  • Analysing and managing prescriber behaviour
You will be expected to spend part of your time at the provider warehouse, currently in Rotherham and Howden House, where the team is based.

Experience of working with people with disabilities and knowledge of how equipment can help people lead more independent lives is essential. Training will be provided and regular supervision.

You will need excellent communication and time management skills and must be highly motivated, enthusiastic, and committed. You will also be able to demonstrate a flexible approach and willingness to accept and adapt to change.

You must have a Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy, be registered with the HCPC and have enhanced DBS clearance.
